Wildflowers: Helping Foster Kids
Every year, thousands of abandoned or neglected kids enter the Foster Care system and thousands age out with barely a high school diploma and no where to go. Margaret poses many questions, What can society expect from these children and more importantly what should society demand of the foster care system? Her status as a former foster child puts Margaret in the mainstream giving her the credibility and incentive to implement the change needed to rebuild a decaying system. Margaret has interviewed many foster and ex-foster kids to gain a wide-spectrum of perspectives, has plans to meet with Governor Crist and seek out Florida Senators to help raise awareness and make a difference.
