Bio

Sean McVeigh, founder of McVeigh Ministries Inc., was raised Catholic in a small rural town in Pennsylvania. He knows what it feels like to sit in a Church, or in a classroom, and listen to a religious lecture, yet feel untouched, unmotivated, and unable to relate to the message. That is why all of Sean's presentations have a style that his listeners can relate to, which in turn touches their heart, and inspires them to excel in their faith relationship with Christ.

EUCHARIST - The Eucharist truly is the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ, which is the heart and soul of the Catholic faith. Sean presents this topic in a way that touches every listener, from those who have never doubted the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, to those who have never believed in it. Words on this webpage cannot do justice to potency and effectiveness of Sean's message on this topic! He has also added a special new segment to this talk for "The Year Of The Priest." Through prayer, proper understanding of the Eucharist, and Eucharistic devotion, many young men can and will answer their calling to the priesthood who otherwise may have neglected their true vocational calling.

EVANGELIZATION - As baptized followers of Christ, we are called to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout our lives. Sadly, many people are poorly equipped to fulfill their baptismal calling to evangelize. In order to strengthen the Body of Christ, and assist people in improving their ability to share their faith, Sean gives his listeners motivating facts, concepts, examples, and ideas to prepare and empower them to courageously spread the Gospel.

Sean seeks to help others find God's will for their life and avoid many of the unnecessary sufferings he went through in his discernment! CHASTITY / SEXUALITY - One of the greatest challenges for every human being is to incorporate their own personal sexuality into their life in a healthy and holy way. Sean's talk on chastity goes much deeper then intellectual knowledge. He also knows how to present this topic to young people in a way that they are very receptive to listening and incorporating the ideas into their own lives.

DATING RELATIONSHIPS - Our society is plagued with sin and divorce. Our culture is not training young people for a life of commitment and dedication. We've lost sight of the purpose of a dating relationship and how it fits into the context of marriage. With this talk, Sean seeks to help single people learn how to choose the right spouse and prepare for a fulfilling life in a lasting marriage.

MARRIAGE - The first command God gave Adam and Eve was to be fruitful and multiply. In other words, they were called to image God by having a strong love life and a loving family with children. Sean provides solid ideas for married couples to help them deepen their love for each other through deep personal self-giving in communication. This in turn strengthens their marriage bond which is crucial for couples in facing today's society.

While Sean was a high school religion teacher, he found that his students often blamed other people for things that came as the result of their own choices. This behavior motivated Sean to begin teaching them how to take responsibility for their actions and accept the consequences. This in turn helped them mature and make better life decisions. Many parents in our modern society have not learned how to instill this concept into their children.

DECISIONS CONCERNING DRUGS AND ALCOHOL - This talk is designed for high school aged students. Much of the talk is based on the motivating story of how Sean almost lost his life at the age of seventeen at the hands of a drunk driver. He's also seen the negative effect of drugs as they destroyed the lives of people he's personally known. Sean's message is clear and he helps young people realize that we all have choices to make concerning drugs and alcohol. Sean helps them realize that many people make decisions based solely on emotion which can lead to disaster. Sean provides young people with solid ideas on how to think things through and make good choices.
