Speaking Topics Include

  • The Catholic Identity Crisis - "Liberal," "Conservative," or Something Else?
  • The Catholic "Self-Help" Plan
  • John Paul II: Encyclicals and Evangelization
  • The "Joy" of Suffering
  • Marriage: What it is and When it isn't
  • The Mass - More than a Homily
  • Everything goes good with Black - This talk meets the challenge of Pope Benedict XVI that, during this Year of the Priest, all of the faithful come to a better understanding of the priest's role and mission. It dispels many misconceptions concerning priests and explains the beauty that exists in the distinct, yet complementary roles of priest and laity. This talk seeks to inspire a greater love, admiration, honor and support by the Church for her priests. At the same time, it challenges priests to humbly embrace the awesome responsibility placed upon them through a life of great prayer, sacrifice and love for all the faithful entrusted to their care.

Endorsement

Mike Pacer is an extremely devout Catholic who works tirelessly for my parish, the Diocese of Rockford, IL, and in ministering to parishes across the United States and Australia. He possesses a keen knowledge of the Catholic faith gained through a life of prayer and study and through his studies with Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Mike is an excellent witness to and teacher of the faith. His years as a trial lawyer have helped to hone his gift of presenting challenging topics in an easily understandable fashion.

I have had the honor of hearing Mike speak on various topics - from deep personal sharing of his spiritual journey to comprehensive discussions of Theology and Dogma. I have also had the opportunity to attend retreats run by Mike. While objectively he is an excellent speaker, I believe Mike's greatest assets are his honesty and passion. Mike speaks to the laity as a fellow sinner who is confronted with the same challenges. Mike is not a "seemingly unapproachable" priest, but a husband and father, living in the "trenches" of every day life. His palpable love for God and Church is compelling and infectious.

During the past eight years, I have closely followed Mike's faith walk. I am convinced that our Lord is calling him to very direct and active service of His Church, and in particular as a Catholic speaker and writer. I hope you will help facilitate Mike's endeavors. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding Mike.

Yours in Christ,
Msgr. Daniel J. Deutsch
